Bryan Bishop, known as Bald Bryan, has been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. Bryan was an on-air member of the Adam Carolla radio show which ended in March. In April, Bryan received his diagnosis and just a month later married the love of his life, Christie Clough. Together they are in the fight of their lives—to be one of the few LIVING with brain cancer!

Here are 10 things you need to know about Bryan:

  1. He was the Sound Guy on The Adam Carolla Show. His job is to play all the live sound effects on the show. He also voices “Fake Jack Silver,” who chimes in with his (usually negative) opinions on the show.
  2. He hails from San Carlos, California—“The City of Good Living”—and attended Junipero Serra High School, home to such alums as Barry Bonds, Tom Brady, and Lynn Swann.
  3. He majored in Creative Writing at USC, where he was a founding member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity.
  4. He’s worked as a radio call screener, TV producer, production assistant, high school football coach, high school softball coach, summer camp counselor, grocery store bagger, web site writer, message board moderator, and secret shopper for Jack In The Box.
  5. He’s a film buff and a DVD collector. He sees as many new movies as possible and routinely rents more movies than he can watch.
  6. He’s a trivia junkie. He appeared on and won Comedy Central’s pop culture trivia game show “Beat the Geeks” in 2002. He also appeared on “Who Wants to be a Millionaire” in 2008.
  7. He’s an amateur beer and wine aficionado. He also enjoys sampling cigars and well-made cocktails.
  8. He’s a sports fanatic. He lives for college football season (he’s a USC season ticket holder) and also loves baseball, pro football, and college hoops. He loves March Madness, college bowl season, the Super Bowl, and the World Series. He enjoys playing softball and volleyball.
  9. He loves music—modern rock, classic rock, country, pop…anything good. His favorite band is Oasis. His favorite album is “Abbey Road” by The Beatles.
  10. He visits Las Vegas several times a year. When he’s not in the sports book or the cocktail lounge, he can be found at the craps tables, the roulette wheel, the blackjack pits, or the poker room.
